Psychology Graduate School Panel

Psi Chi is hosting a Q&A session with psychology faculty about the graduate school application process. Psychology students, alumni, and faculty will be giving their advice on how to apply to graduate school as well as the ins and outs of the process.

How do you pick a school? What is the difference between the different degree programs? What should be included in personal statement?

All students interested in psychology and biopsychology are welcome!

WIT Interest Meeting

Film Screening of “Understanding”

Graduate student Bernard Abagali will screen his short film about the experiences of Washington Mandela Fellow Tiara Gendi, a young transgendered woman from Harare, Zimbabwe. She is the coordinator of the newly formed trans unit at Gays and Lesbians of Zimbabwe (GALZ), advocating for transgender and intersex people. She began her work at GALZ as a volunteer in 2013 and has been actively involved in the organization's administrative and programming efforts.

Following the film will be a talk back with the filmmaker and Tiara Gendi. Refreshments provided. Sponsored by the Center for Intercultural Advancement.

SafeZone Workshop Training

October 30 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The Safe Zone workshop is a training for students, faculty and staff interested in learning more about LGBT history, sexual orientation and gender/ identity expression. Participants will explore Queer theory, cover history of the LGBT rights movement and share stories.

At the completion of the workshop participants will be qualified to serve as “Safe Zones” for LGBTQ students, staff and faculty.

Residential Education/Peer Educator Yoga Series
