Throughout the year, Wagner offers different visit options to enable students to make the most informed decision about applying and attending the College. Please review the following options to find the visit type that best suits your needs.
- Tour and Individual Meeting
-
On weekdays during the school year, tours typically leave at 10:00 am, 11:15 am, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm. These student-led tours will last approximately one hour, and afterward students are encouraged to meet with an Admissions Counselor to answer questions and go into greater depth than is discussed on tour. These meetings are separate from interviews and are solely informational.
- Summer Overview Visit Days
-
During the summer, join the Admissions Office for an information session followed by a student-led campus tour. Lunch will be served afterward in Wagner’s cafe, The Hawk’s Nest. There, students will have the opportunity to have a more intimate discussion with their admissions counselor.
- Summer Campus Visit Day
-
Campus Visit Days are the most extensive visit option offered at Wagner. Students will have the opportunity to speak with faculty, staff and current students. The day includes a welcome breakfast, information session, campus tour and faculty reception. The day begins at 9:00 am and ends around 1:00 pm.
This option is best for students who would like to speak directly with professors and administrators from other campus offices.(note: Online registration is available until 48 hours before the event. On-site registration will be available at the event for those unable to register online.)
A typical Campus Visit Day program follows:
9:00 AM – Registration
9:30 AM – Welcome Breakfast
10:15 AM - College Overview with Current Students and Administrators
11:15 AM - Campus Tours
12:00 PM – Reception with Wagner College Faculty
12:15 PM – Residence Hall Tours (optional) - Saturday Overview Sessions
-
On select Saturdays throughout the fall and spring semesters, Overview session days are offered through the Admissions Office; these days consist of an information session by an Admissions Counselor and a campus tour with a current student. This day begins at 11:00 am and goes until about 1:00 pm.
To get the true “Wagner experience” students are encouraged to stay on campus for any of the day’s campus events: athletic competitions, arts performance, other campus events, or go experience the city.
- Interviews
-
After students apply, they are encouraged to schedule an interview with their Admissions Counselor. Interviews are both informational and evaluative, and can be conducted either on campus, over the phone, or via Skype. Typically, a student will interview to add qualitative and anecdotal information to otherwise objective criteria.
