First-year and senior students completed the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) in Spring 2011, reporting on their activities during the 2010-2011 academic year. First-years and seniors scored significantly higher than students at similar colleges (according to Carnegie classification) on measures of Active and Collaborative Learning, Student-Faculty Interaction, and Enriching Educational Experiences.
