Mr. DeSimone has been an Assistant Professor in the Business Department of Wagner College since the fall of 2005. He won the Graduate Professor of the Year award in 2006 and the undergraduate faculty advisor recognition award in 2007. He was inducted into the ODK leadership honor society in the spring of 2009, and won the Faculty College Service Award for 2011. Later in 2011, he was elected as the Director of External Programs for the Business Department. Most recently he was awarded the Martin Luther King “Agent of Change” award for 2012.
Prior to his full time assignment with Wagner College and concurrent with his executive career, Mr. DeSimone was an adjunct professor at Long Island University Brooklyn Campus from 1988 to 1993 and part of the Wagner Executive MBA program from1993 to 2005.
As it relates to his executive career, Mr. DeSimone was most recently the Chief Operating Officer of Enforsys. Inc, a sophisticated software development and distribution company. Previous to that, he held executive positions in Internet advertising, the manufacturing and distribution of cosmetics and fragrances and as the President, founder and co-owner of a start-up outsourcing company called Cambridge Business Services. Mr. DeSimone was also VP of Finance for Parfumes Givenchy, (a Division of LVMH) and Parlux International, as well as the Area Controller of Helena Rubinstein’s Caribbean Division stationed in Puerto Rico. He also held senior management positions at Colgate Palmolive and began his management career at Pan American World Airways.
Some career highlights include the development of Enforsys, Inc. into the number one provider of sophisticated law enforcement software in the state of New Jersey. He also acquired, integrated and consolidated the Ben Rickert and Cambridge brands into Azurel, Inc. He managed the successful Initial Public Offering of Azurel, Inc. on the NASDAQ stock exchange He was the first CFO of the U.S. Division of Givenchy fragrances, of Parlux International, the first and only President of Cambridge Business Services before it was sold and integrated into Azurel, Inc. He transitioned the Caribbean Division to an independent division of Helena Rubenstein, after it was spun-off from Colgate Palmolive. He negotiated the worldwide fragrance distribution agreement with Anne Klein, Inc. and launched the Giorgio Armani, Anne Klein and Givenchy Ysatis fragrance brands in the United States.
Frank DeSimone holds a Masters of Business Administration from New York University and is currently working on his final Ph.D dissertation at the International School of Management.
