Is GMAT required for admission?
GMAT is optional for admission to the Traditional two years MBA program and the Accelerated one year MBA program, it is not required for admission to the Executive MBA program. Wagner alumni applying to the Accelerated MBA program are also exempt from taking the GMAT.

Are there minimum GPA and GMAT requirements?
Wagner does not have strict minimum required GPA and GMAT scores; candidates are evaluated based on the combined factors of GPA, work experience, GMAT score, letters of recommendation, and personal statement.

How many years of work experience do I need in order to be admitted?
Wagner does not have a minimum requirement for years of work experience for applicants to the Traditional and Accelerated MBA programs, however many of the students in the Traditional MBA program have several years of work experience and some continue their careers during the course of their degree.
Applicants to the Executive MBA program are expected to have a minimum of six (6) years of professional work experience.

I don't have a business background, will this impact my chances for admission?
At Wagner we welcome applicants with a variety of professional and academic backgrounds, including the arts, law, education, etc. Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic record, GMAT score, and their professional achievements in their respected fields.

Can TOEFL be waived?
Yes. Foreign students who have earned a Bachelor's or a Master's degree from an accredited US academic institution are exempt from taking TOEFL.

Is an interview required for admission?
Interview with the Director of Graduate Business Programs is required for applicants to the Accelerated and Executive MBA programs.

What are the application deadlines?
Acceptance decisions are made on a rolling basis and are accepted throughout the year. Each application is considered for the next entering class, so the sooner you complete the process the sooner a decision is made.
Preference will be given to applications received by May 1st for the Fall semester, and December 1st for the Spring semester.

Does Wagner accept transfer credits?
Yes. The approval of the Department Chair or Director of MBA Programs is required for all transfer credits. The total number of credits accepted from accredited graduate schools is three (3) courses or nine (9) credits.
