Lo Re is a Professor of Finance in the Nicolais School of Business and the Director of Business Experiential Learning & Internship at Wagner College having previously held the following leadership positions: Dean of Adult Education & Extension Programs, (Acting) Associate Provost, Chair of the Department of Business Administration, Director of MBA Programs and Director of Assessment.
She obtained her Ph.D. from CUNY Graduate Center specializing in Monetary Theories & Policies and International Trade. She has: written/obtained several external/internal grants; numerous newspaper/media community and student involvement mentions; editorial board member on 3 journals; external reviewer for NYS Dept. of Education and Middle States reports; and presented and published journal articles in the areas of: civic engagement/service-learning, best practices such as writing across the curriculum, corruption & the financial markets, EU/EMU monetary convergence policies & exchange rates, and the economic financial crisis. She is the author of 2 books, Understanding Economics: What Managers Need to Know and, Experiential Civic Learning: Construction of Models & Assessment; and 2 book chapters, “Service-Learning Community: A Win for Students, Community, Institution & Faculty” in Service-Learning Pedagogy: How Does It Measure Up? and, “Balancing Management & Leadership” in The Resource Handbook for Academic Deans.
Prior to academia, Dr. Lo Re obtained 17 years of practical business experience—including 9 years in computer technology/risk modelling and 5 years in executive management. Work history: American Express, the United Nations, the Board of Education, Entrepreneur-retail business owner.
