Employers

The Center for Academic and Career Engagement offers employers and professional organizations a variety of ways to connect with our students and alumni, creating meaningful employment opportunities and experiences for both. One of the benefits of working with Wagner College is the personalized attention you will receive. We can design a recruiting plan based on your specific needs and the needs of our students, providing you with the most focused recruiting effort and the greatest flexibility. We also welcome your suggestions about recruiting techniques or innovative opportunities for student referrals and interviews.

Posting Jobs and Internships

The Center for Academic and Career Engagement is pleased to offer Wagner Internship and Career Search (WICS), an online job and internship posting system, powered by eXperience.com. We encourage all employers to login to our system to access and/or create an account. The system will allow you to post jobs and/or internships, search resume books, review and accept applicants, view a calendar of your events, communicate with candidates and keep in touch with us. Please bookmark our employer log-in page for future reference. If you encounter any problems with setting up an account or uploading your job or internship, please contact us at cace@wagner.edu or call us at (718) 390-3181.

On-Campus Recruiting

IN CACE, we want to do all we can to facilitate the connection between our students and employers. We can offer you a pre-selection process that offers you the opportunity to interview only our most qualified and best prepared candidates for your full-time employment or internship opportunities. Let us know what you are looking for, and we can create an on-campus interview schedule, allowing you to meet all of your preferred candidates in one session and in one place.

Tabling and Information Sessions

  • Tabling - An easy and informal way to connect with Wagner students and develop your brand on Wagner's campus is through staffing an information table in the Wagner Union, a highly trafficked area of the College, where students can ask questions and learn about your organization.
  • Information Sessions and Classroom Presentations - Some employers choose to meet students in a smaller group setting to discuss their organization and career opportunities in depth. These sessions provide the ideal setting for a detailed question and answer exchange. Classroom presentations afford you the opportunity to directly link classroom work with on-the-job situations, giving you the chance to make a real impression on students.
Our office would be happy to arrange for your organization to connect with our students or interested faculty by scheduling a date and time for you to host any of these recruitment/promotional opportunities at our campus.

Résumé Referral

Wagner’s résumé referral system is designed to provide you easy access to résumés of students who meet criteria you have specified ahead of time. This option allows you to set up a deadline date by which we will collect résumés. Once you have received the résumés, you can interview selected students on your site, or set up an on campus recruiting date by contacting our office. To arrange a résumé referral, contact us at cace@wagner.edu or call us at (718) 390-3181.

Policies and Guidelines

By posting employment or internship positions with us you affirm that your organization is committed to equal employment opportunity for all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status (as defined under the Immigration Reform and Control Act), disability, or veteran's status and that your organization complies with federal and state equal employment opportunity.

Employment Listing Agreement

CACE reserves the right to refuse to post employment or internship positions if these positions lack a career development or educational focus. We consider internships to be supervised learning experiences that supplement classroom learning. Internships should be career-related, with clearly defined learning objectives agreed upon by the employer and student. Employment and internship experiences should be mutually beneficial to employer and student. We will not post opportunities for employers operating in a non-professional environment (e.g. home/private residence).

Third-party Recruitment

The Center for Academic and Career Engagement at Wagner College welcomes job postings from third-party recruiters; in order to maintain quality of job services, the following policies are to be maintained:
  • Your services must be free to job candidates.
  • We will publish an online job posting for any current, open positions at your clients' organizations.
  • You will inform our office when the position has been filled so we may deactivate your listing from our online job database.
  • The name of the client company and any information on the posted job must be disclosed to CACE for quality assurance; however, we will omit the company name from the published job posting, if necessary.
  • Candidates referred to your agency by our office will be considered by your agency for the positions that they have applied for. Should they be qualified for additional positions listed with your agency, they can be considered for those in addition to the position for which they applied.
  • Recruiting agencies with no current, open positions appropriate for our candidates may be included on an "agency listings" referral page. Should our candidates be interested in working with a recruiting agency, they will contact you at the number and location specified on the listing. Agencies listed on the Agency Listings page are up to CACE's discretion.
Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to working with you!
