Dr. Sara Klein is the Dean of Campus Life and Engagement at Wagner College. In her role as Dean, she oversees the Center for Intercultural Advancement and the Center for Academic and Career Engagement, which encompass areas such as Study Abroad, International Student Advisement, Diversity and Social Justice Programming, Career Services, Academic Advising, Services for Students with Disabilities, Academic Support Services, and the Writing Center. She serves as the College’s Sexual Misconduct Response Coordinator, advocating for students who are survivors of sexual misconduct and also coordinating the College’s Sexual Assault Task Force. Additionally, she provides leadership for such events as Family Weekend and the Student Awards Dinners, as well as coordinates Assessment, the Campus Life Website, and publications for the Division. Dr. Klein is also an adjunct professor in Wagner’s Executive MBA Program. She is the proud advisor to Wagner’s all-female a cappella group, Vocal Synergy.
Dr. Klein earned her Ph.D. at New York University in Higher Education, where she also received a Master’s degree in the same subject. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Music. She is also an adjunct professor at New York University in the Higher Education program. On a personal note, Dr. Klein commutes from Brooklyn, where she lives with her husband, a clinical psychologist, and her daughter, Maddy, who is 3 years old and a student at Wagner’s Early Childhood Center.
