Peer Tutors

The Horrmann Study Center, located on the lower level of the Horrmann Library, serves as a resource for all Wagner students in obtaining help with both writing, through The Writing Center, and coursework in specific disciplines. The Center provides peer tutors, typically upperclass students majoring in that specific subject, in all academic areas, and in writing across all disciplines. The Center is open throughout the week; students can schedule regular appointments for help with course assignments throughout the semester or simply stop by to brainstorm ideas for a paper. In the Writing center, Writing intensive Tutors (WITs) offer another opinion about research ideas or a perspective on a student's writing. The Study Center supports students through offering them direction, strengthening study habits, or improving understanding of a subject.

Every tutor in the Horrmann Study Center is dedicated to the success of students who come for help. View the Peer Tutoring Center Schedule fo r an example from this semester of tutor availability by academic area. All students at Wagner are encouraged to take advantage of the resources of the Center throughout their academic career at the College.
