The Port Richmond Partnership Leadership Academy was established by Wagner College and the New World Foundation COIN Program in the fall of 2013.
The Port Richmond Leadership Academy is a five-week program, aimed to enrich Port Richmond High School rising juniors. The Academy is a truly unique program designed to deepen participants academic abilities as well as develop community capacity building skills to affect postive change locally. Academy participants will be immersed in two innovative, credit-bearing high school courses during the 2014 Academy, in addition to completing a focused community advocacy project and engaging in civic learning field trips throughout their summer.
Who is a Port Richmond Leader?
A Port Richmond Leader is a rising junior who is seeking a rewarding summer experience on Wagner College’s beautiful campus! We are looking for students who are committed to strengthening their academic performance, attending college, and most importantly, demonstrate an interest in affecting local change through community-based work. There is no GPA requirement for applicants.

4 full-tuition scholarships to Wagner College are available to those students who complete all three Academy sessions
3 guaranteed internship experiences will set you apart as an applicant in the college admissions process
2 weeks of residential immersion on the stunning Wagner College campus will give you an idea of the campus life experience prior to committing to a university (housing, meals, and transportation are all included!)
1full semester of college course work will be under your belt over the course of two summers in the Academy

Deadline to apply for the award is May 9th. All students will be notified by May 16, of the status of their applications via email.
Students interested in applying must complete the Port Richmond Partnership Summer Leadership Academy Form on the Wagner College Center for Leadership and Engagement website. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.
All applications will be judged by the academy leadership team made up of representatives from the New World Foundation, Port Richmond High School, and Wagner College.
