This comprehensive 50-hour EKG Technician Certification Program prepares you to function as an EKG Technician and to take the ASPT–Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician national certification exam. This course includes important practice and background information on the anatomy and physiology of the heart, medical disease processes, medical terminology, medical ethics, legal aspects of patient contact, laboratory assisting, electrocardiography and echocardiography. You will practice with equipment and perform hands-on labs including introduction to the function and proper use of the EKG machine, and other clinical practices.
