This comprehensive, five-module live lecture Home Inspection course is approved by the NYS Department of States Bureau of Educational Standards and provides the 100 hours of classroom study and additional 40 hours of onsite instruction required for licensure by the state of New York. You will learn how to conduct a complete home inspection and prepare a comprehensive Home Inspection Report. This course also provides substantive preparation for the National Home Inspector Examination required for certification in many states. Specific topics include energy audits, housing components, ethics, and the Standards of Practice of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). You will also learn marketing, billing and other important business practices to start and maintain your successful new career. Experience in the residential or construction industries, and particularly general contracting, is beneficial to class and employment success.
