This course will allow students to experience the step-by-step processes and techniques utilized by one of the globe’s leading wedding and event experts, industry pioneer Bailey. This new course is a comprehensive “how-to” for the industry, providing real behind-the-scenes footage, photographs and documentation, including insights into the wizardry that can make a wedding a one-of-a-kind, magical event for a couple and their guests. There is a distinctive difference between an event planner and an event designer. The event planner is involved in every aspect of the logistical project management of the planning process and the event itself; however, it is the event designer who designs the event details from top to bottom, including the design surrounding the activities that make an event come to life. In many cases it is the designer who extracts the emotional and personal elements of a client and weaves it into the event design as an expression of who they are. A wedding planner taking this course will learn the art of design and how to apply design techniques to their existing fund of knowledge and services to their clients.

As part of the course tuition, students receive all four of Preston Bailey’s books and will learn to create and transform ordinary spaces into sumptuous, theatrical environments, translating a client’s vision into awe-inspiring reality. Preston’s passion for his work has led to many public speaking engagements and numerous television appearances. At any time, one might see Preston on: The Oprah Winfrey Show, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Extra, CBS’s The Early Show, and The Today Show. Students receive four books, online curriculum and community access, and a certificate of completion.
