Each year, Wagner College’s Office of the President, New Educators at Wagner (NEW), and the Department of Education present awards to three distinguished educators from Staten Island and our surrounding areas.  Nominations are due annually in March, and the ceremony for recipients  takes place in June.

Please use the form below to nominate an exemplary teacher or leader for these distinguished awards.  Thank you so much for supporting the celebration of exceptional educators!

Please use this form to nominate candidates for Wagner College’s Distinguished Educator Awards. Note that we request contact information for both you and your nominee.

  • Please describe the educational position your nominee holds (teacher, administrator, higher education faculty, etc.).
  • Where does your nominee currently work?
  • At minimum, candidates must 1) have five or more years of experience as a K-12 teacher or principal, 2) be an educator whose reach extends well beyond the school walls, and 3) inspire youth to make a difference in their own lives and/or the lives of others.
