My research has involved the adaptation of classical authors in medieval literature, particularly with respect to gender, and I have published on the medieval reception of Ovid. I am currently working on postcolonial approaches to medieval literature, with a project on the representation of Islam in medieval English. At Wagner I have taught an array of courses, including Chaucer, Medieval English Literature, Sex and Gender in Medieval French Literature, Greek and Roman Literature in Translation, British Literature Survey, Pre-modern World Literature, and Human Rights and Literature. In my spare time, I enjoy going to Off Broadway theatre, running, and traveling.
