Another Year Comes To an End

It's that time of the year where I have to say goodbye.

I figured to celebrate the ending of one school year and the beginning of another, I'll give you my top 3 moments of this year:

Physician Assistant England TripIMG_1519

This was a trip of a lifetime. For me it really signified getting out of my comfort zone and exploring something completely new to me; another country and talking to Psychiatric patients in real life. Both of these experiences will stick with me forever and I can't wait to share what I learned with others. I know the Psych patient part might not be as exciting to everyone, but visiting England is something I think everyone should add to their bucket list.

Men's Lacrosse 4-Overtime Win against Monmouth

This was the highlight of the year for me as a member of the Men's Lacrosse team here at Wagner. Even though I wasn't able to play in it due to my red-shirt year, this just got me very excited for the season and years to come. The win-loss column might not show progress, but every game we are getting better. Next year is going to be a huge year so be on the look out for the Seahawk's 2014-2015 schedule when it's released.

Big Name Act

Crowd

For an end of the year finale, I could not have been more excited to have KapSlap and Adrian Lux come to Wagner to put on a show. In my 3rd year at Wagner and being a huge EDM fan, I was waiting for a Big Name Act like this to happen, and man, did it exceed my expectations! Finally got my wish and it was a great time! If you want the full recap you can check out my post Big Name Act Recap and get the full breakdown.

All in all, junior year was phenomenal and I'm so happy that I could share my experiences with all you reader's out there.

I will continue blogging for the HawkTalk blog throughout the summer so keep checking back for posts all summer long!

Have a great summer and to all the future Seahawk's coming in the fall, I'll see you then!!

Mark Beyer

Author: Mark Beyer

My name is Mark Beyer and I am a Men's Lacrosse player and Physician Assistant student from sunny San Diego, California. I'm at Wagner because love opportunities both academically and socially. The academics at Wagner are challenging and rewarding in many ways and the social experience at Wagner is unheard of. Having NYC in my backyard for 4 years is an opportunity I probably won't have again.
