Week #2

Another week has come to a close on the Wagner College campus.  With the completion of this week, a lot more students have moved onto campus so I’m not as lonely!  All of the PA students here are participating in a five year program that requires them to take summer classes.  Also, some of the athletic teams including football and basketball are here to keep me company, too!

This week I gave several great tours to really interesting future students!  Most of the tours I’ve been giving as an intern in admissions have been to current high school juniors.  As I start off tours, I always mention that I will actually be a junior next year, once again.  When I think about it, I feel like I was just a junior in high school yesterday.  I was scared out of my mind, had no idea where I wanted to go to go to college, and cried a lot about which decision was the right one to make.  I can see all of those emotions written on the faces of each high school junior that comes on a tour.  If there are any high school students currently reading (first of all, thank you for reading), I just want you to know that everything will be fine! Don’t worry.  Wagner might be the perfect place for you where you meet your best friends and start the next chapter of your life.  Or, there might be another school that’s perfect for you and just waiting for you to find it.  Both of those things are perfectly fine.

Next week I’m going to visit family in North Carolina, so you probably won’t hear from me.  I hope you enjoy catching up with some of the other bloggers in the mean time!

Sincerely, the blogger still without a catchy closing
