Drugs and Alcohol

Wagner College respects your personal preferences for life-style and values. However, your conduct on the job affects the services provided to each other and our students. If you use alcohol or drugs while at work, or if you come to work impaired, your ability to perform your job may be diminished, and you may endanger your safety as well as the safety of co-workers.

The College’s drug-free policy prohibits the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of a controlled substance by any employee. If this policy is violated, disciplinary action up to and including dismissal may be necessary. You may be required to participate in a drug abuse or alcohol rehabilitation program in order to remain employed. If you are convicted of any drug-related criminal violation on College premises, or while conducting college business off the premises, you must notify the Human Resources Office no later than five (5) days following the conviction.

The College offers drug education, counseling, rehabilitation and coordination with available community resources, as well as through the College's Employee Assistant Program.
