MU 073A Guitar Ensemble
The Wagner College Guitar Ensemble is a great opportunity for guitarists of all styles and ability levels. The class covers a wide range of styles from Renaissance to rock, Bach to blues to be-bop! The class focuses on developing skills necessary to participate in an ensemble situation, reading music, single notes and chords, following charts, playing accompaniments and improvisation in a variety of styles.
Class Schedule: Fridays, September 1 to December 8, 5pm – 7pm
Credits Earned: 1/2 Unit
Tuition: $250 plus $50 application fee
Requirements: Students must audition in advance. See information below regarding audition dates and requirements.
Come prepared to play a piece of your choice. It can be a solo guitar piece; you can play with a backing track or accompany yourself singing. You will then be asked to sight read a short piece with written notes and a chord chart.
What to Bring:
1. Your instrument and any sheet music or equipment you will need for the audition.
2. Completed Application Form.
3. Completed Band Director/Music Teacher Recommendation Form.

All auditions will take place in the Campus Hall Music Performance Center located on the Wagner College campus at 631 Howard Ave., Staten Island, NY 10301.
