Senior Recital 2014

Katherine Liu demonstrated mastery of a range of violin works in various styles (from Baroque to modern genres) throughout music history at her senior violin recital on Monday, May 5, 2014 in the Campus Hall Performance Center.  She collaborated with Professor Joyce Chung, pianist, for a range of pieces which included Beethoven’s Fourth Violin Sonata and Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir d’un lieu cher, Op. 42.  The substantial piece that she performed was the Ciaccona from the unaccompanied Partita No. 2 in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach.  Katherine concluded her program with the Theme from Schindler’s List by John Williams and a showpiece, “Banjo and Fiddle” by William Kroll.
