Kimberly Botsko (2008). Senior Vocal Recital Soprano Kimberly Botsko performed her senior vocal recital at Wagner College on Saturday, April 19, 2008, with Assistant Professor Joyce Chung on piano. The event included works by Alessandro Scarlatti, Maurice Ravel, Antonín Dvoák, and other composers. The decision to have such a varied program allowed Kimberly to perform many types of music and to sing in four of the major classical music languages. The Italian arias Non so vivere and Con le donne were from the opera Massimo Puppieno by Alessandro Scarlatti, a well-known Baroque composer. Cinq melodies populaires grecques, a song cycle by Ravel, introduced the audience to French Impressionism. Inspired by her senior research paper, Kimberly performed Dvoák’s Romantic-period opera aria "Rusalka’s Song to the Moon." Her love of country music came through in her renditions of "Crazy" by Willie Nelson and "I Told You So" by Randy Travis. For these selections Kimberly brought together the talents of other Wagner students in a band that included John Biscuti on piano, Anthony Babino on bass, Jonathan Caro on guitar, and Mike Parascandola on drums.
