Denise Gasalberti completed her undergraduate and master’s studies at Seton Hall University and received her Ph.D. from New York University in Nursing Research and Theory Development. Her teaching responsibilities on the doctoral and graduate levels include courses such as Scientific Inquiry for Nursing Practice, Clinical Scholarship for Evidence-Based Practice and Translational Research, Health Care Policy Organization and Finance as well as Theoretical Components of Nursing. On the undergraduate level, Dr. Gasalberti has taught Nursing Research and Human Sexuality. She has also served as a member and chair of the college-wide Committee for Learning Assessment (CLA). Dr. Gasalberti is the recipient of the Robinson Faculty Fellowship 2012 and the Mellon Periclean Faculty Leadership Program Grant 2021-22. Her research on infant safe sleep has been published in the Journal of Perinatology. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International since 1980. Her additional publications may be found in peer-reviewed journals such as Oncology Nursing Forum, Journal of Pediatric Health Care and Pediatric Nursing.
