Wagner College will have a delayed opening on Wednesday, March 15, to give our Campus Operations staff and contractors time to clear the buildup of frozen snow and ice on campus roadways, footpaths, outdoor stairs and parking lots.
All campus offices will reopen at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. This includes the Horrmann Library, Spiro Sports Center, Health & Wellness Center, I.T. Help Desk and Mail Room.
The Early Childhood Center will be closed on Wednesday. It will reopen on Thursday.
The ferry shuttle service will resume Wednesday morning with the 8:10 a.m. departure from campus for St. George, and will operate on a normal schedule for the rest of the day. The first trip back from St. George to campus will be the 8:40 a.m. run. Campus pickups and dropoffs will be on Howard Avenue at the main campus entrance until interior campus roads can be cleared. We will send an email update when the regular pickup and dropoff locations can be used again. (Resumption of the ferry shuttle depends, of course, on the city clearing the roads that connect campus to Victory Boulevard. The mayor has assured the city that Sanitation crews will be working through the night to have city streets passable by the morning rush hour.)
The delayed opening will not affect the normal Spring Break weekday schedule at the Hawks Nest on Wednesday:
- 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. — Grill, coffee & retail
- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Outtahere
Please exercise extra care in returning to campus Wednesday morning, especially considering the possibility of remaining patches of snow and ice on the roads.
