Black History Month Scholar

The Office of the Provost in partnership the Division of Campus Life is proud to host Dr. Michael Ralph as the 2017 Black History Month Scholar. Dr. Ralph is dually appointed to the rank of Associate Professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies in the department of Metropolitan Studies and Associate Professor of Social and Cultural Analysis, Africana Studies, American Studies at New York University and serves as the Director of Undergraduate Studies for Metropolitan Studies. His scholarship explores Citizenship, Sovereignty, Risk, Liability, Urban Youth Culture, Diaspora, and Postcolonialism. He holds a BA in Africana Studies from Morris Brown College and MS And PhD in Anthropology from the University of Chicago.
