For the very first time, Wagner College Theatre will present a program of completely original work written, directed and performed by students.
Seven original short plays, written by students in Prof. Jeffrey Sweet’s playwriting class, were chosen by the members of Prof. Mickey Tennenbaum’s advanced Directing class for production. All of the actors are students in the Theatre Program, as well.
The seven short plays are “Be Omnivorous” and “Sick” by Emily Legace, “My Dear” by Nick Manna, “Good Luck Charm” by Sammy Quinn, “Since She Left Me” by Tatiana Eriksen, “Sacerdotisa” by Emma Green, and “Sharing A Wall” by Rozzie Heeger.
The directors are Brianna Brice, Rob Gallo, Kellen Gaughan, Sabrina Kalman, Lora Margerum, Albert Nelthropp, and Hadly Patterson.
Appearing in the plays are Angie Cocuzza, Gary Lumpkin, Gino Cardoni, Liam Abate, Sammy Quinn, Danielle Allen, Katelyn Norman, Eric Elson, Emily Morris, Matt Healey, Joseph Cowdrey, Julia Adams, Jason Biss, Gianina Mugavero, Bill Wetherbee, Savannah Yates, April Lillard, and Zach Norris.
Olivia Weiss is the lighting designer, and Vanessa Rebeil is the Stage Manager.
ORIGINALS will be presented in Stage One on Saturday, April 28 at 2:00 and 8:00 PM, and Sunday, April 29 at 8:00 PM. Admission is free.
