On Tuesday, Sept. 10 and Wednesday, Sept. 11 (both days, 12 to 6 p.m.) in Union 201, the Nursing Department will be holding a 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive in cooperation with the N.Y. Blood Center Bank. There is a tremendous need for blood, and organizers are hoping to get at least 100 pints of blood during the two-day drive. Students will also be registering volunteers for the Bone Marrow Registry — all it takes is a simple cheek swab to be added to the registry, and you could be called to save a life! At the end of the drive, all donors will be eligible to win a raffle prize: a $100 American Express gift certificate. For more information, email Nancy Cherofsky.
On Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 12 p.m., the Wagner College community will gather on Trautmann Square for its annual 9/11 memorial observance. Various speakers and the Wagner College Choir will lead this solemn program of remembrance.
