Lecture by psychologist Daniel Singley
On Thursday, Oct. 17 at 2:40 p.m. in Spiro 5, licensed psychologist Daniel Singley will discuss his work. Singley is the current chair of the American Psychological Association’s Section on Positive Psychology in the Society of Counseling, and past chair of the San Diego Psychological Association’s Men's Issues Committee. He is a consultant engaged in ongoing research and program development with the University of California-Irvine’s Counseling and Psychological Services. Singley’s areas of clinical work and research have focused on evidence-based positive/strengths-based psychology, men’s issues and program development, and the treatment of depression, anxiety and co-occurring disorders.
Eid Al-Adha celebration

Film screening: ‘The Business of Being Born’
On Thursday, Oct. 17 at 6:15 p.m. in Spiro 2, please join us for a screening of the documentary film, “The Business of Being Born.” The filmmakers say: “Birth: It's a miracle. A rite of passage. But more than anything, birth is a business. This film explores the maternity care system in America and reveals that there is much to distrust behind hospital doors.” Sponsored by the Provost’s Office Film & Media Initiative and the Evelyn L. Spiro School of Nursing at Wagner College.
