On Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 2:40 p.m. in Spiro 2, Jamaican-American poet and performance artist David Mills will stage an educational performance about the life and work of Harlem Renaissance poet Langston Hughes. Mills, the winner of numerous awards and fellowships, is the author of two books of poetry, “The Dream Detective” and “The Sudden Country.”
Faculty and staff, note that Mills be reading his own poetry at 12 p.m. in the Faculty Dining Room.
On Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. in Campus Hall 201, please join the Modern Languages Department for a conversation with Laura Agostino, a 2006 Wagner grad who double majored in business administration (with a finance concentration) and Spanish (with a semester abroad in Madrid). Come discuss the advantages and additional employment opportunities that graduating with a double major has provided for a Wagner alumna in the first years of her professional career, first at HSBC, then at FINRA, and now at a Canadian bank on Wall Street. Refreshments will be served.
