Film screening: ‘Salute’
On Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. in Spiro 2, please join the Black Student Union for a screening of “Salute,” a 92-minute documentary film about the 1968 Summer Olympics, when track athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos gave the black power salute during their their medal ceremony, and the aftermath of their political gesture.
