Wagner Web Series Auditions

We're now casting for "A Solid Foundation," the second season of the Wagner Web Series. We're looking for nine talented students — five women, three men. All majors and students are invited; no on-camera experience required. Please bring a 60-sec comedic monologue. Production of season two will take place on campus from Aug. 21-28. Guest Speaker on Digital Humanities Ed Whitley

Edward Whitley, founder of the Mellon Foundation at Lehigh University. will lead a discussion on "Digital Humanities and Community Engagement." Whitley is the author of the book, "American Bards: Walt Whitman and Other Unlikely Candidates for National Poet," the co-author of the book, "Teaching with the Norton Anthology of American Literature," a contributor to the groundbreaking book, "The American Literature Scholar in the Digital Age," and one of the creators of new Internet site, "The Vault at Pfaff's: An Archive of Art and Literature by the Bohemians of Antebellum New York." On Thursday, he will discuss the changes to both scholarship and teaching in the humanities with the advent of new digital technologies.

Holocaust Exhibition Gallery Reception

Wagner College’s Holocaust Education and Programming Center presents “Tragedy and Resilience: Holocaust Survivors of Staten Island,” curated by Lauren Citarella and Lori Weintrob, an exhibition in the Horrmann Library’s Spotlight Gallery highlighting the tragic journeys of local Holocaust survivors through dozens of artifacts, portraits, drawings and photos. Original drawings and photos featured in the exhibition were produced by Emil Jacoby, Sara Signorelli, Rita Reynolds and Leslie Lopez, while photos of Holocaust artifacts were provided by the Museum of Jewish Heritage: A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.

EYH Presentation

April 16, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Students and Faculty will show images and discuss EYH trip to Auschwitz, Warsaw, Berlin and Krakow.

Snacks will be served.

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

Spiro Sports Center GYM, Staten Island, 10301

IFC will be holding a 3 on 3 basketball tournament open to all students. Students will sign up (3 members a team). The winning team will receive a trophy. IFC will be providing drinks and snacks for students that sign up. Proper foot attire is required (sneakers). Proceeds will go to the winning teams charity of their choice.
