Social Justice Dialogue: Disability Awareness

Senator Dante Bartolomeo, State Senator for Connecticut will be visiting campus on Wednesday, October 28th. She is passionate about her work on behalf of children's mental and physical health. Senator Bartolomeo will be speaking at a Social Justice Luncheon on October 28, about her Journey to Advocacy at 1pm in the Center for Intercultural Advancement, Union Building. Please plan to join us for this very special presentation. Lunch will be provided.

Swabathon

The Microbiology Club will host a “Swab-A-Thon” today from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Union Atrium.

For a measly $2 donation, you will be able to take part in some big microbiology fun! The event allows you to swab anything the student desires and see what it sprouts on an Agar plate. The Microbiology Club will label the plates, monitor them, and send you a full report next week on what type of bacteria you have produced.

The money raised will go toward Lyme disease research.

Wagner College welcomes New York Times Bestselling Author, Jessica Knoll for a book reading and signing.

Knoll will be doing a reading from her book "Luckiest Girl Alive" followed by a Q&A and book signing.

Irene and Francis Jacob Concert

French actress Irène Jacob and her singer-songwriter brother Francis, along with a small, intimate multicultural band, will be presenting a mix of songs from their last album, “Je Sais Nager” (Sunnyside, 2013) and their next one, “En Bas De Chez Moi”, to be released in January 2016.

Irène has won international recognition working with Polish director Krzysztof Kieślowski. She was rewarded “Best Actress” at the Cannes Film Festival for her performance in “The Double Life of Veronique” (1991). She is presently involved in theatre work.

Francis has been working as a professional musician based in NYC, for the past 20 years.
