Artist’s reception: Marcia Bujold, ‘Lotus & Lily Ponds’
The Wagner College Gallery presents Lotus & Lily Ponds, an exhibition of soft-ground etchings, color photographs and black & white photogravures by Staten Island artist Marcia Bujold.
An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, April 8 from 2 to 5 p.m.
The exhibition will be on display from Wednesday, April 5 through Tuesday, May 31. Both the reception and the exhibition are free, and the public is invited.
Marcia Bujold is a printmaker, filmmaker and graphic designer for television and documentary film. She founded Wingspan Films, which is documenting China’s ancient folk kite and the artists who struggle to keep their tradition alive. Since launching the project, she has interviewed and photographed dozens of traditional kitemakers in mainland China. Learn more at windabove.com. Wagner College Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours on Thursdays until 7 p.m. The Wagner College Gallery is located in the Union Building at Wagner College, 631 Howard Ave., Grymes Hill, Staten Island, New York. Wagner College Film Festival
The Wagner College Film Society presents its annual film festival, featuring a wide array of student films. At 6:30 p.m., prior to the film showing, there will be a catered dinner (from Moe's!) on the patio outside Foundation Hall. Film screening starts at 7 p.m. The night will conclude with a Q & A with the student directors and an award ceremony.
