Wagner College Theatre’s ‘The Mouth Pieces,’ April 6-8
Stage One studio theater hosts workshop production of new musical

This weekend, the award-winning Wagner College Theatre presents “The Mouth Pieces” as part of its Golden Jubilee Season and its inaugural New Works Agenda. “The Mouth Pieces” will be presented from April 6 through April 8 at the Stage One studio theater. Shows are Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

An original piece with music by Allison Leyton-Brown and book and lyrics by Sophia Chapadjiev, “The Mouth Pieces” consists of three separate stories: “On Teeth and Longing,” “The Theory of Kiss” and “Pilgrimage to the Mouth.” The three stories explore topics of love, despair, self-confidence and connection.

The cast of “The Mouth Pieces” features Madi Asgeirsson (Hygienist, Scientist Claire and Becks), Emily Barkovic (Woman, Scientist/Others and Dr. Millicent), Ross Coughlin (Man, Scientist/Others and Male Chorus), Maggie Eley (Hygienist, Scientist/Others and Holly), Aaron Frongillo (Dentist, Scientist Ray and Male Chorus), Kelly Hedden (Hygienist, Scientist/Others and Mouth) and Hayley Hemminger-Martin (Hygienist, Scientist/Others and Dia).

The “Mouth Pieces” creative team features WCT professor Theresa McCarthy (director), WCT alum Joshua Sottile ’15 (music director), Lexi Takaki (lighting design), Vanessa Rebeil (production stage manager) and Dana Rudnansky (dramaturg).

There is no ticket charge, but seat reservations can be made by calling the Wagner College box office at 718-390-3259.
