The Hugh L. Carey Institute for Government Reform at Wagner College draws a tremendous amount of media attention. Seymour Lachman is often called upon when news stories re-examine the 1975 New York City fiscal crisis because of his political biography of Gov. Hugh Carey. And Joshua Spivak, one of the few genuine experts on recall elections in the country, was in great demand this summer, especially in Colorado and San Diego, both as a news source and as an op-ed writer.

Wagner College psychology professor Miles Groth is a noted expert on the subject of “male studies” — as evidenced by the 2011 New York Times Education feature, “The Study of Man (or Males),” by Chip McGrath.
