Twenty-five Wagner College students will be inducted into Delta Mu Delta, the National Business Honor Society, at a ceremony this Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Spiro Hall 2. The ceremony will be hosted by Professor Peg Horan.
Delta Mu Delta is a highly selective, national honor society whose membership is for lifetime and by invitation only.
New inductees are: Daria Boyarinova, Patricia Brabant, Kayla E. Colin, Matthew Connelly, Jean-Claude Darne, Maria A. DeSantis, Lauren M. DiSchiavi, Troy S. Dollard, Kyle P. Estelle, MacKenzie K. Halpin, Justin Lefkowitz, Michelle LoFaso, Jennifer R. Marciano, Thomas P. McCafferty, Denieda McCullough, Nicole M. McErlean, Dylan H. Moulton, Lauren A. Petrik, Emily M. Pierce, Brent M. Reale, Jason Scaglioni, Michael D. Schultz, David L. Szilezy, Nicole M. Todisco and Richard F. Vellucci.
Officiating officers for Sunday’s ceremony are President Jonathan Fusco, Vice President Alayna Butryn and Treasurer John Carrescia.
Also being inducted as an honorary member is Professor John Moran, who will deliver the keynote address.
At the ceremony, the society will pay tribute to Professor Walter Rohrs, who passed away September 28, 2005. Professor Rohrs was responsible for having the Alpha Beta chapter installed at the college on January 13, 1970, and was instrumental in the chapter’s success. Rohrs was a revered professor who served as chairman of the Business Administration Department.
“I am greatly touched that the college continues to honor my father, who held the Delta Mu organization very dear to him,” said Rick Rohrs, Professor Rohr’s son. “I am delighted to see that this prestigious organization continues to thrive at Wagner College.”
