Roy Mosher, 50

    Roy Mosher, 50, of Staten Island, N.Y., died Thursday morning, June 21, 2012.
    He was born Feb. 11, 1962 in Montreal, Quebec and grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Roy earned his degrees from Dalhousie University in Halifax: Bachelors in Biology (Honours), 1984; Masters in Biology, 1986, and Ph.D. in Biology, 1993.
    He started teaching at Wagner College in 2002, where he was an associate professor of biology. He taught courses in biochemistry and microbiology and was director of the master’s degree program in microbiology.
    Roy is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Sonja Mosher, and his niece Holly of Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is also survived by his colleagues and students at Wagner College, who have been like a family to him in the United States.
