Congratulations to the 43 graduates of Wagner College's Evelyn L. Spiro School of Nursing second-degree baccalaureate program. These new BSNs were pinned in a ceremony in the Main Hall auditorium on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012.
Wagner College President Richard Guarasci congratulated the Spiro School of Nursing for being named a National League for Nursing Center of Excellence in Nursing Education this year. In addition President Guarasci, guest speakers included Provost Lily McNair, bicycle safety advocate Laura Barlament, and Nancy Tillman, mother of the late nursing student R.J. Tillman. R.J. would have graduated with this class but was killed in a cycling accident early this year. Graduate Aimee Marin gave a history of the nursing pin, followed by student speakers Courtney Killard and Tara Pisano.
