Read Abe's take on why social issues have become so prominent in the presidential debate, while the global economy implodes around the candidates.
Wagner College political science professor Abraham Unger is an excellent source for informed comment upon the 2012 presidential elections. He was the lead researcher for the “Your Vote ’12” video series, produced by Meredith Video Studios, which will be distributed nationwide this year through the video on-demand services of several major cable TV systems. Below, you can read the background material (or “primers”) Unger prepared for Meredith on 12 key aspects of the presidential election process. You can also download the videos already produced by Meredith on 7 of those topics; links to the remaining videos will be provided when those videos are completed.
Please note that the primers and videos are provided here for your information only, to demonstrate the kind of expert comment Abe Unger can provide; they are the intellectual property of Meredith Video Studios, and cannot be excerpted or embedded in your stories or on your website except with the express permission of Meredith.
Abraham Unger is an assistant professor in Wagner College’s Department of Government & Politics, where he teaches the introductory course in American Government (among other offerings).
He earned his Ph.D. in political science from Fordham University.
Unger is a senior research associate with the Hugh L. Carey Institute for Government Reform at Wagner College, under whose auspices he wrote a widely read position paper last year analyzing the issues underlying the redistricting process then facing the New York Legislature.
