The Power of Resistance

Join the History Department for its senior presentations on “The Power of Resistance: From the War of the Roses to the Battle of Burma.”

Panelists will include Megan Mendez on “Women’s Identity and Agency in 15th Century England: A Look at the Lives of Elizabeth Woodville and Margaret Paston,” Sarah Cappiello on “Clans, Compositions, and Culloden: The Influence of Highland Culture and the Jacobite Rising of 1745,” Oliver Grant on “The Battle of Britain: R.A.F. Success or Luftwaffe Failure” and Aisha Raheel, “The Raj at War: India’s World War II Experience.”

Following the completion of the above discussions, there will be two other panels: “Civil Rights, Disability Rights and Human Rights” (Jessica Catanzaro, Orazio Iannacone, Rashon Pleasants and Jennifer Weile) and “Post-WWII U.S. Politics and Culture: From the Space Race to the Korean War and from Nixon to the Abortion Debate” (Paul Schloeder, Megan Irving, Janine Bednarz and Zuri LaPorte-Airey).
