Wagner makes CosmoGIRL! Top 100 Co-Ed Colleges list

Cosmo Girl Best Colleges cover    Wagner College was ranked among the Top 100 Co-Ed Colleges in the country in the October 2007 issue of CosmoGIRL! magazine.
“We set out to find the coed schools that take a cue from women's colleges and offer things like excellent women's sports, leadership opportunities, and intimate class sizes,” explained CosmoGIRL! Deputy Editor Michelle Lee Ribeiro.
The top 100 co-ed colleges for CosmoGIRL!s were selected from more than 600 U.S. colleges and universities, based on 21 data points provided by the Princeton Review.
Eleven of those points were based on student opinion surveys about the following aspects of their schools: campus safety; recreational/athletic facilities; average class size; average lab size; student friendliness; degree of social and ethnic diversity on campus; city or town suitability; individual student happiness; the quality of professor instruction; career/job placement services and internship popularity.
Another ten institutional data points were based on the following: availability of women's center services; above-average number of women's varsity sports teams; above-average number of women's club sports teams; greater than 80 percent of those students determined to have financial need who received some financial aid; greater than 85 percent of average need met for students who were awarded any need-based aid; women exceeding 50 percent of faculty; student-to-faculty ratio less than 12:1; small average class size; whether the school sponsors programs specifically designed to help entrepreneurial students launch businesses; and whether the school offers experiential learning opportunities with entrepreneurs for students.
