				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Monday, April 8, 8pm &#8211; 10 p.m. in the Spiro Sports Center Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) hosted a Songfest Dodgeball Tournament to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project—an organization that raises money to cover the health and rehab costs for wounded military personnel.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Residential Education staff in Foundation Hall, licensed Sommelier Laura of <a title="Laura " href="http://laurauncorked.com/" target="_blank">laurauncorked.com</a>, Alumni Relations, and Lackmann collaborated on an educational event aimed at expanding residents’ understanding of wine, elevating their palate of alcoholic beverages, and instilling proper wine etiquette. The event was part of the Bridges program which supports the transition of Seniors living in Foundation Hall to life after graduating from Wagner.</p>
<p>This April,  Laura explored wines that pair perfectly with summer.  In a post-event survey (response rate 70%) residents told us:</p>
<ul>
<li>That they will drink more responsibly because of this event (81% strongly agreed or agreed).</li>
<li>They would recommend this event to others (100% strongly agreed)</li>
<li>This event was &#8220;fun&#8221;, &#8220;educational&#8221;, and &#8220;organized&#8221; (93.8% strongly agreed)</li>
</ul>
<p>When asked what they like the most residents said:</p>
<p><em>&#8220;The tasting into the reception. Overall it was perfectly planned.&#8221;</em><br />
<em>&#8220;I liked the atmosphere. It was fun but educational as well. It was a great social event to get to know other people.&#8221;</em><br />
<em>&#8220;I appreciated that seasonal wines were discussed to prepare us for summer, rather than discussing all wine options.&#8221;</em><br />
<em>&#8220;It was fun and about something we will use.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>Other comments included:<br />
<em>&#8220;This was my second wine tasting event through Bridges and they have both been very well organized, as well as super informative and great for college students entering the &#8216;real world.&#8217;&#8221;</em><br />
<em>&#8220;It was a great experience for life after graduation.&#8221;</em><br />
<em>&#8220;Great event! Keep having them!&#8221;</em></p>

<p>Residents learned how to create a salad dressing and meat marinade from scratch.  They also practiced preparing a chicken breast.  Chef Raul provided instructions and a presentation on how to save money and the importance of learning technique over recipes.  Residents enjoyed an salad, entree, and dessert for just one meal swipe.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: center"><b>SPRING CLOSING INFORMATION</b></p>
<p><b>Thursday, May 16<sup>th</sup> at 12:00pm</b>, all non-graduating students must check out of their rooms.</p>
<p><b>Friday, May 24<sup>th</sup> at 5:00pm,</b> after commencement seniors and commencement volunteers must return to their space on campus and checkout.</p>
<p><b>Check-Out Procedures</b></p>
<ul>
<li>The student must pack and remove all belongings from the room prior to contacting an RA staff member. H/she must also clean his/her side of the room.</li>
<li>Once the RA is contacted, h/she will take the RCR to the student’s room to complete an inspection of the space.</li>
<li>RA will compare the current conditions of the room and its contents with what is listed on the RCR, and will demarcate any discrepancies. Detailed notes can be very helpful when determining charges.</li>
<li>RAs should also note whether the room was clean upon checkout, and whether the student returned their key or not.</li>
<li>The RA must never tell a student h/she will not be charged for damages in the room. The RAs role is to identify possible damages.  The final decision rests with the RD of the building and the Office of Residential Education. Staff members must refer the student to the building RD if they have any questions about a possible charge.</li>
<li>Once the room inspection has been completed, the RA will ensure the door is locked behind them and organize the key and RCR in accordance with the RD’s system.</li>
<li>Finally the RA will enter the resident as having departed on the checkout tracking spreadsheet being maintained in the RA office and note any specific needs of the room on the various log-sheets (painting, lock change, cleaning, etc).</li>
</ul>

<p style="text-align: center"><b>LATE STAY</b><b></b></p>
<p>Students needing a Late Stay must sign-up by sending an email to <a href="mailto:resed@wagner.edu" target="_blank">resed@wagner.edu</a> and including your  full name, ID#, cell #, email address, current room assignment, date(s) for the Late Stay, and reason. Please be aware there may be a charge of $100 for the first night and a charge of $250 weekly charge thereafter, unless on official school business, to be confirmed by your faculty or supervisor.</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><b>SUMMER HOUSING</b></p>
<p>Summer Housing runs from <b><i>Tuesday, May 21<sup>st</sup>, 2013 to Friday, August 24<sup>th</sup>, 2013</i></b>. Students living in summer housing may stay in their Spring assignments until their summer rooms are ready during Senior Week. The sign-up period is from <b><i>Friday, April 19<sup>th</sup>, 2013 through Friday, May 3rd, 2013 at 4 pm</i></b>.  Applications are available on this website and all applicants must complete the following:<b></b></p>

<p><b><i>Summer Session A Move-In for Current Residents in Housing</i></b><i><br />
Summer Housing residents will be permitted to stay in their current Spring housing assignments until their summer rooms have been cleaned.  Once notified, a student must participate in the Summer Housing check-in process.  Staff will be available for summer check-in starting Tuesday, May 21<sup>st</sup>.  When students arrive in the lobby they will need to sign and date their Room Condition Report (RCR) form, and will receive keys to their summer room.  The RA staff will provide a copy of the RCR to students upon request. After having checked in, students must check out of their spring assignment within 48 hours or incur a possible charge.</i></p>
<p><b>Summer Session A Move-In for Residents Returning to Campus</b><br />
If a student needs to leave their spring assignment before their summer room is ready, he/she must check out of their current housing assignment by Thursday, May 16th, 2013 at 12:00 noon.  These students must remove all of their belongings from their current room and place them in an off-campus location until they are ready to check-in to Summer Housing the weekend of June 1<sup>st</sup>, 2013.  Students will report to the main lobby of Harborview Hall to check-in.  When students arrive in the lobby they will need to sign and date their Room Condition Report (RCR) form, and will receive keys to their summer room.  The RA staff will provide a copy of the RCR to students upon request.  All students needing housing for Summer Session A must move-in at this time.</p>
<p><b><i>Summer Session B Check-In</i></b><i><br />
All students needing summer housing for Summer Session Two must check-in the weekend of July 6<sup>th</sup> , 2013.  When students arrive they will need to sign and date their Room Condition Report (RCR) form, and will receive keys to their summer room. The RA staff will provide a copy of the RCR to students upon request.  All students needing housing for Summer Session B must move-in at this time.</i></p>
<p><b><i>Summer Session Check-Out Dates</i></b><i><br />
Students leaving after Summer Session A must check-out by </i><i>Saturday, June 29th, 2013 by 12:00 noon</i><i>.  For students in Summer Session B who are not assigned to housing for the Fall 2013 semester, summer housing assignments must be vacated Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 by 12:00 noon.  If students living in housing for Summer Session B are moving into a Fall 2013 assignment, it is mandatory that these students are present during the week following the last summer class of Session B.  The Office of Residential Education will be in contact with each student individually to move them to their Fall 2013 assignment during the week of and the week following the end of classes.  We hope to have all moves to Fall assignments completed by August 4th.  Any items left in a room after August 7th will be discarded.  If a Summer Housing resident plans on leaving housing before their Fall assignment is ready with the intention to return during the Fall 2013 move-in period, he/she must check-out of Summer Housing completely and remove all personal belongings.  </i></p>

<h2>Application Process</h2>
<p>The period to apply for 2013 &#8211; 2014 has closed.  If you submitted an application, thank you!</p>
<p>After reviewing the applications, a group will be selected to move to the next round, which consists of an interview process to be held Saturday, February 23, 2013. You must* be available between 8am &#8211; 5pm that day. This will include group activities, a time for you to ask questions about the position, and an individual interview.</p>
<p>*If you are unable to make it to group process due to study-abroad, an athletic trip, or some other extenuating circumstance, let us know and alternate accommodates can be arranged.</p>
<div>After interviews and Group Process are complete, applicants will be notified in writing of their final status on Thursday, March 7, 2013.</div>
