Louise S. Kaufman has returned to the Board of Trustees to fill an unexpired portion of a trustee term. She was previously on the board from 2000-2012 and was chair of the board from 2009-2012. As a member of the board, Louise serves on the Trustee Affairs, Strategic Planning and Investment Committees.
Louise is a senior executive, whose career has included positions in Fortune 200 pharmaceutical companies including Merck & Co., Warner-Lambert Co., Pfizer Inc., and Schering-Plough Corp. With over 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Louise has held executive positions relating to compliance and governance, government affairs and regulatory affairs. She continues consulting in these key areas to investment capital firms, consulting firms, and other organizations.
In addition to the Wagner College board, Louise has been a director on the Foundation Board of the prestigious International Women's Forum (IWF). In Savannah, she provides consulting services as a volunteer for the Center for Clinical Research, St. Joseph/Candler Hospital.
Louise graduated from Wagner in 1975 with a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's degree in microbiology. She continued her studies at St. John's University, New York, where she earned an MBA in Executive Management.
Louise resides in Savannah, GA, with her husband, Dr. Peter Kaufman.
