December 13, 2024
Colleagues,
As I reflect on my first six months at Wagner College — a period of transition and transformation — I am filled with gratitude for the community of faculty and staff who sustain our mission every day.
During 2024, our students have made us proud. They have excelled in classrooms and labs, shown us stellar performances on stages in Manhattan and on the court in March Madness, and participated in internships that are shaping their futures and the lives of those with whom they work.
Our faculty have expanded knowledge in their fields, traveled the world in support of our students, and have been justly recognized by external leaders for their accomplishments.
As an institution we have expanded access to scholarships, built new opportunities for experiential learning, and ensured every student receives the personalized attention that truly sets Wagner College apart.
That success is due directly to each one of you — those who teach our classes and maintain our buildings, keep our library open and keep our campus safe, make our athletes competitive and support our students through aspirations and struggles alike.
I know there is still so much more to do, and 2025 will be a year of tremendous work and great change. Wagner’s path forward will not be simple, but we will walk it as a community.
I hope this upcoming holiday, and the break you have all earned, is a period of rest and renewal before we plunge into the challenges ahead of us. I wish you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season and a healthy and fulfilling New Year.
With warm regards and heartfelt thanks,
Jeff
