Graduate Admissions
Wagner’s select, yet comprehensive graduate programs are offered at convenient times and provide small class settings for educational excellence. Classes are small and scheduled year-round in late afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Our faculty are superb, combining theoretical expertise with practical experience in the field. A number of graduate assistant positions and financial aid options are available to support students. All graduate applications are processed by the Office of Admissions.

The Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Nurse Educator accepts applications for the Fall Term only
- Deadline: March 15*
- Official transcript from each post secondary school attended, 3.2 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Final official transcript with degree conferral must be provided prior to matriculation.
- Résumé (can be uploaded with your application)
- Two letters of recommendation, preferably from former or present employers or professors

International Applicants, additional requirements:
- International applicants must submit an official copy of post secondary school transcripts in original language of issue, accompanied by a certified English translation and evaluation. Transcripts must be evaluated on a course by course basis by a NACES Member.
- Proof of English language proficiency is required. Students may demonstrate proficiency by submitting one of the following: Minimum TOEFL iBT score of 81 or 550 for the paper-based test; IELTS band score of 6.5 or higher

Process for Doctor of Nursing Practice Application
- Application deadline August 15th
- Graduate Admissions will screen applications and submit the completed admission packet for all qualified applicants to the DNP Admissions Committee.
- Graduate Admissions will notify all applicants of their status after the selection process has been completed.
Admission Criteria
In addition to complete online application, please submit the following:- Original transcript from master’s in nursing program with a family nurse practitioner focus from a program accredited by a national organization.
- A 3.4 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale for masters course work
- Current unencumbered Registered Professional Nurse License in New York State and a New York State certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Board eligible
- Documentation demonstrating current clinical practice
- Current résumé
- Two letters of recommendation from individuals able to comment on the academic ability, clinical expertise and professionalism of the applicant
- $60 non-refundable application fee
*Students with an Advanced Nursing Practice focus other than a Family Nurse Practitioner will be individually evaluated, and a gap analysis will be conducted to determine additional courses required to complete the DNP /FNP degree. Mailing address:

Summer Term Programs
The MS Ed in Adolescent/Special Education, MS Ed In Childhood/Special Education and MS Ed Early Childhood/Special Education Programs accept applications for the Summer Term only.Deadline: May 28, 2024
Admission requirements:
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA from an accredited undergraduate institution. Final Official Transcript with degree conferral must be provided prior to matriculation.
- Statement of Purpose indicating why you want to pursue an MBA degree and how the MBA degree will help you in your future career.
- Two recommendation letters from former or present employers or professors
- Successful Completion of online modules to demonstrate proficiency in Accounting, Excel, Statistics. Modules will be provided by the Nicolais School.
