In 2012–13, two campus facilities received major makeovers and the Main Hall restoration project was completed. Here a quick review of the results and the funding sources.
Main Hall
The $15 million restoration of Main Hall included a new roof and windows, rebuilt towers, brickwork and repointing. It lasted from spring 2011 to fall 2012. Alumni and friends of the College contributed $308,081 for this work.
Main Dining Hall
Lackmann Culinary Services funded a $1.3 million renovation of the main dining hall in the Wagner Union in the summer of 2013. The work included new serving stations, a new pizza oven, new flooring, paint, and décor, as well as new tables and chairs.
Planetarium
In the summer of 2012, the Wagner planetarium in Spiro Hall received a $250,000 upgrade, including new seating, a new sound system, and an SCIdome HD digital projector, funded through a New York State grant.
