        Wagner College Guild

        About Us

The Wagner College Guild celebrated its 106th anniversary in 2024. The Guild is Wagner’s oldest organization, and faculty wives formed it to help support divinity students away from home while they pursue their education. The Guild members provided transportation, sewed buttons, and invited students back to their homes for a home-cooked meal and a respite from their studies. Today, the Guild remains the same as it was over 100 years ago, with its members committed to assisting students in need. This includes The Lila T. Barbes ’40 Wag’40 College Guild Scholarship, awarded to two students yearly. It also supports the Make a Difference Fund, which provides immediate emergency financial assistance to students in need so that they may continue their education without interruption.

        Join Us

The Guild hosts four luncheons each academic year – in October, December, April, and June – and special members-only events. Our luncheons feature a guest speaker and a delicious meal designed to inform, entertain, and encourage fellowship. All proceeds from the luncheons benefit the Make a Difference Fund.

We welcome you to join and ensure the Guild remains active and robust for the next 100 years. The 2024-2025 Annual Membership fee is $35, effective September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025. For more information, please get in touch with Theresa Kolsin at Theresa.kolsin@wagner.edu or 718-420-4530, or click below to join the Wagner College Guild!
