Homecoming / Family Weekend
2018 Schedule of Events

Wagner is celebrating 100 years on Staten Island. Join us this year and enjoy a variety of food from some of Staten Island's favorite restaurants. There will be a beer and wine tent featuring Staten Island's own, Flagship Brewery, featured in Wagner's custom "ferry beer" cup. Enjoy music live music by an 80's & 90's cover band and entertainment by some of our student organizations. There will also be carnival games and prizes sponsored by our Student Alumni Association, face painting, photo booth fun and inflatables. You won't want to miss this year's celebration on the Oval! 

*Students do not need to register for the lunch or dinner in the Main Dining Hall if they have a meal plan.

On-Site registration will be available to purchase food and drink tickets on Saturday, September 21st  from 1 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. only.

Enjoy dinner with students and families in the main dining hall before the pep rally starts from 6 to 7 pm. * Students who have a meal plan do not need to purchase this ticket. *

Pep Rally*
Pape House Lawn
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The Wagner College marching band, cheerleaders and the Seahawk will lead the pep rally as we cheer on the Football team before Saturday's Homecoming game and meet the candidates for homecoming King  & Queen. The pep rally will take place in front of Pape House from 7 to 8 p.m. Finish off with dessert from Mr. Softee's ice cream truck.

Movie under the stars*

After the pep rally, join your seahawks under the stars to watch a nostalgic movie. Bring your own blanket and we will provide the popcorn! Movie will be School of Rock.

Saturday, September 22

Brunch with President Richard Guarasci

Enjoy a special all you can eat buffet brunch in the Main Dining Hall with Dr. Guarasci. *Student who have a meal plan do not need to register for this ticket.

Wagner Antiques Roadshow*
Union Atrium
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Do you think you own a piece of Wagner history? It might be any physical object or trinket that you've kept that represents Wagner history to you. At our Wagner Antiques Roadshow, join other history buffs for wine and cheese, and have your piece of Wagneriana appraised for its significance to our dear alma mater's history. The expert appraisers will be Lee Manchester, Wagner's unofficial historian; Lisa Holland, Wagner archivist and librarian; and Sarah Scott, professor and chair of the Department of Art, Art History and Film. Professor Scott will also give a short talk about material culture, objects, and their cultural value to us. Items can be dropped off in the Union Atrium starting at 11 a.m. Whether or not you have anything to contribute, you can enjoy the Roadshow at 1–2 p.m. in the Union Atrium. Selected items will be displayed in our centennial museum installation project.

This is the can't-miss event of the weekend! Join us on the Sutter Oval for a day of Seahawk pride to celebrate 100 years of Wagner's home on Staten Island. We will have a variety of Staten Island restaurants and a beer tent featuring a Staten Island local brewery from 2 to 5:30 pm. Music and entertainment will be provided by Partners in Sound Production. Entertainment and fun for all ages. You won't want to miss this jam-packed kick-start to the big game!

Bregenz Beer Garden*

Purchase your food & drink package and then meet your fellow Bregenz Alumni in the beer garden to reconnect, mingle, and reminisce about college days spent in Bregenz, Austria through Wagner's former study abroad program.

Bring your Seahawk pride over to Wagner College Stadium and cheer on the Wagner College Seahawks as they take on the Sacred Heart Pioneers. Enjoy performances by the Wagner Seahawk Marching Band and the halftime homecoming King & Queen coronation.
