Connecting alumni & parents with today’s Wagner students for conversations about all things related to careers—education, finding the right path and how to get your foot in the door. Alumni & parents are invited to come share your wisdom, advice and experiences with the students.
Event: Career Conversations-New York City
Hosted by: Wagner College Alumni Association & Center for Academic and Career Engagement
Date: Tuesday, March 11, 2014
Location: The Union League Club (38 East 37 Street, New York, NY-Corner of 37 Street & Park Avenue)
Registration Deadline: Monday, March 3, 2014 (registration must close by this date to allow for time to prepare handouts on who will be attending to speak with the students)
How will Career Conversations work?
For the Career Conversations component of the evening, alumni and parents will be grouped by the industry area indicated at the time of registering for this event. For example, alumni and parents in healthcare will be grouped in one location, while accounting alumni and parents will be grouped at another station. This will provide students an easy way to find alumni and parents representing various industry areas. Students will be encouraged to meet with as many alumni and parents as possible during Career Conversations.
This event is NOT a job fair. Therefore you do not have to have job/internship opportunities from your company. The event is focused on alumni and parents sharing their professional experiences with students to aid in the career exploration/preparation process. If by chance you do have job/internship opportunities for potential candidates you may indicate so at the time of registering for the event.
