Wagner Weekend Health and Safety

Health and Safety

We are pleased to offer an in-person Wagner Weekend, and we do so as we navigate the continued impact of Covid-19 and our ability to safely host large events. Please view our current Covid safety rules for our students and employees here.

Regarding Wagner Weekend Attendees:

Effective immediately, ALL events that were previously scheduled to be held indoors will be held outdoors, rain or shine. Please refer to the schedule of events page here for updated information on locations for individual events in the coming weeks.

We will NOT accept any on-site registrations for Wagner Weekend. Therefore, if you plan to attend, you must pre-register on our website here in advance to ensure you are on the list.

We will be checking in all pre-registered guests at each individual event. This is a requirement for NYC contact tracing purposes. If a guest arrives who is not pre-registered, they will be denied entry to Wagner College.

COVID Vaccination/Testing Check (updated 9/17/21)

All Wagner Weekend registered attendees will be required to submit proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of their arrival. Visitors will be sent a link via email prior to the event to the ontask system to upload proof of vaccination (at least one dose of a COVID vaccine) or negative PCR information after they are registered in the system. Once completed, reviewed and approved, the visitor will receive a Wagner pass valid for the duration of Wagner Weekend. Registered attendees must present this pass at every event and campus location they wish to enter. This link will be provided from the Office of Alumni Relations.

If you are unvaccinated, you must submit a negative PCR test dated within a certain time frame. Please review below carefully.

Masks (Updated 9/16/21)

At this time, during Wagner Weekend on October 1-2, 2021, Wagner requires community members to wear masks, regardless of vaccine status, in all indoor campus environments, even if they can socially distance, except when eating or drinking. Attendees are required to wear a properly fitting mask over their nose and mouth. Face shields, bandanas, scarves or other facial coverings are not acceptable. Masks must be worn to cover both the mouth and nose, not below the nose or on the chin.

For outdoor campus environments, masks are strongly recommended for unvaccinated individuals and masks are optional for vaccinated individuals.

This is to safeguard the health of our attendees and the health of all family members, especially our younger Seahawks and other vulnerable populations.

Please note that the mayor of New York City has mandated that all indoor dining locations confirm the vaccination status of diners; this will be in full effect for the Main Dining Hall, where there is indoor seating. Attendees will need to show their Wagner pass to enter the dining hall.

Going Forward Together

This guidance may be updated as we continue to monitor the Delta variant in New York. Anyone attending Wagner Weekend agrees to follow the COVID regulations set forth by the Office of Alumni Relations, Wagner College, and the local government. Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in denial of entry or removal from the event. By attending Wagner Weekend and any event provided during the weekend, guests are assuming known risks posed by Covid-19; Wagner College is not responsible for any health issues that may result from participation.

We understand that some individuals may not feel comfortable with the guidelines we have in place—in which case we encourage you to visit campus on another weekend. Families are welcome to visit their student(s) at any time.
