Banned Book Week & New York Archives Week

October 5 - 13th

October 5th - 11th is an exciting week for our library where we are celebrating both Banned Books Week and New York Archives Week. Come check out the dual exhibits in the Spotlight Gallery. A wall with mystery books wrapped in brown paper with descriptive tags
We have fun activities for Banned Books Week including a Word Search and Blind Date with a Book, where you can choose a book from the wall based only on its description.
The exhibit for New York Archives Week includes some interesting documents and memorabilia, including a dink and a doorknob! The exhibit also includes some material that was created in the Each One, Reach One ILC class taught by Felicia Ruff and Lori Weintrob. A display featuring the photos and letters of two siblings who communicated during World War 2.A brightly polished vintage door knob
